The Country Dance class started again on Tuesay 10th and several sets rehearsed some of the dances that will be featuring on our Annual dance in the Reid Hall Forfar on 10th February 2012 at 7:30pm with Jim Lindsay dance band.

2012 will begin again on TUESDAY 10th January at

Our new session for the Summer / Autumn season starts 20th September 2011. The location is to be confirmed although I have heard rumour that we are moving to a new hall. Watch this space for updates.

The annual dance 2011 was held on Friday 11th in the Reid Hall Forfar. Over 100 dancers attended a lively and thoroughly enjoyable evening of dance. The RSCDS Forfar members again laid on a superb supper and the traditional “choc ice” was also enjoyed at raffle time.

There was a good mixture of dances, some danced regularly in this area only and some well known. Overall the dancing was well recapped and everyone enjoyed the evening.

Tuesday 18th was the date and St John’s Hall at Forfar the venue. We had live music from John White Sound and we had catered food supplied. The evening got off dancing around 8:15pm ish following the food and we got through 9 out of 10 dances which was pretty good. The atmosphere was great and we had enough people for four good sets.
