Our next season starts on Tuesday 16th September at 7:30pm in the East and Old Kirk Hall in Chapel Stree Forfar.

The first class will be run by members of the committee as our teacher will not be able to attend this evening.

 

Look forward to an exciting mix of dances and meeting up with old and new friends alike. Please give your support to the callers for the evening and remember that they will be trying their best to call the dances so a polite listening group would probably be appreciated.

Carnoustie Summer Dance series has now started and will run for the next 5 weeks on Wed evenings. See the Dance Diary and Dance Reports pages for details. So far two excellent eveings have been held, although slightly spoiled by repeated re-caps and walk-throughs and impolite dancers chattering noisily during the re-caps.   

The branch will have a “stall” at the Forfar Gala day to be held in the Myre car park Forfar on Sunday 29th June 2008.

The stall will help to promote the benefits of Scottish Country Dancing and in particular will focus on the benfits of dancing with The Forfar Branch of The Royal Scottish Country Dance Society.

Come along and support or browse, ask questions, pick up information, but most of all, make a date to come and join us for a taster when we start in Septemer 2008, the 16th @ 7:30pm in the East & Old Kirk Hall in Chapel Street Forfar.

The RSCDS Forfar recently held their annual general meeting at which time the update and maintenance of the web site was handed over to Angus Spence. The web site has been updated in a minor way to reflect recent committee changes and it is intended to continue to update and refresh the web site. Suggestions from members would be very welcome, just drop me an e-mail or leave a comment right here on our new blog.
